some of you romford fans(old gits) will know more about these. whay did they stop them?

 

i think it would be quality to have a 5 nations type tournament every 2/4 years. they could do them when it is not a world cup/euro championship year.

 

would be good.

 

we could beat those sweaties over and over <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Probably cos the world is a much smaller place Smallsy and the powers that be decided that a game versus a country from outside the UK would be much more useful and financially rewarding than a home international.

Considering the improvement in the home nations (NI beat England, Wales challenging for Euro and World Qualification and the resurgence of the Scots) I reckon Home Internationals would pull in some big crowds.

home internationals would generate massive interest. the rivalry would be amazing. my only thought is they were probably worried about violence etc and generating any more bad feeling between the nations.

 

i think the old saying goes..."don't sh*t on your own doorstep" lol

Remember they could only do this sort of thing once every other season. As we have the European Championships and the World Cup every other year...

 

I think it would be tough on the players involved, and many clubs would not want to risk their TOP players in such a high profile match.

 

Would be a great spectacle though <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
