"When Crouch Played Town"

Recommended Posts

Story about Billericay on the back of tonight's Echo...talking about when Peter Crouch (whilst at Dulwich) scored against Billericay... quotes from Robert Moore and Steve Lewis, neither of whom seem to remember all that much about the game

If you're interested we won 2-1, goals from Justin Gentle and Joe Baker (his 1st for us)

Team

King, Woolsey, Moore, Conner, Jordan, Parratt, Gentle (Henty), Linger, Simpson, Williams, Baker

Subs not used: Culverhouse, Trainer

Crouch didn't stay very long with Dulwich (a loan spell???), and scored just the 1 goal in 6 starts before starting his climb towards the dizzying heights of the mighty Saints (then some northern monkeys, but we won't talk about them )

I know we always ask this but can anyone remember who Crouch's strike partner was for Dulwich at the time?

Was it Ben Strevens?
As for Crouch, he was sh!t then and he aint much better now...

You're thinking of Dave Stevens who partnered McEwen in the team that did us 5-3 at our place earlier in the season... They both left about the same time (Stevens to Barnet I think, McEwen to Spurs), after which time Dulwich's goals dried up.
