Wardy - Is your testimonial still taking place during pre - season??

 

I hope Mr King pissing off hasen't stopped your chances of earning some cash after the loyal service you gave to our club..

 

Im sure the new committte would love to still honour you testimonial game..

hear hear eggy. wardy certainly has earned the right to a testy. thats a hard question. never enjoyed playing at hendon. probably cos of the facilities though. same goes for croydon. enjoyed playing against wardy in training though haha. will miss calling out howzat to him haha

Seem to remember Greggors scoring a memorable last minute winner against Basingstoke deep, deep into stoppage time the year we went up.

My top 5 Greggors moments are:

 

1) Wigan. I was just getting ready to celebrate an away draw and a live Sky date at home to them when out of nowhere i saw Greggors pounce on a mistake and volley in! I thought i was gonna fall down the steps of Wigan's ground! Brilliant!

 

2) Gravesend. Thought we would win the league after that but it wasn't to be. But with the atmosphere and the hugeness of the game, Greggors goal made it a great night to be a supporter.

 

3) Northampton. Sent us into the 3rd round and made it a great day in the history of the club. And i got arrested by Transport police for running through the barriers and then attempting to leg it before the game and thought i'd miss it.

 

4) FA Trophy against Forest Green. Thought he played brill and was unlucky with that shot that he hit on the half volley on the edge of the box that only just flew over.

 

5) Any game where he had a go at officials. I always had a giggle when Greggors had a go about something to the ref or linesman. It was passionate for the cause as well as being funny for the way he said it to them and them getting an earful and in turn making them feel so uneasy about refereeing the game.

gonna miss you greggs loved watching you play my favourite moment will have to be the goal against northampton alan hansen was slateing us off saying we weren't a good team but you showed him and the best team won in the end with a fantastically worked goal!!!

Oh for F*ck sake i thought i'd escaped greggors taking the piss out of me clobber on a match day, looks like i'll get it again at least twice next year <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />. Those young lads are gonna have to be brave to venture where you lot did over the last few years. I'll be popping 5 mins down the road no doubt to see you and the others at Chelmo for old times sake.Might as well get hammered by the King of the piss takers (Chenners). Will never forget the away coach where the only CD we had was your Chas and Dave one. I'm still getting the fall out from going to the toilet and leaving my mobile on the table for PARMS to batter people with! God knows what he said or who he said it to!!!

Have you got a job yet Wayno or are you donning the training gear and telling Batchy you'll give it one last go!

No job yet mate helping out at the club voluntary at the moment and taking a bit of Garden leave!! Might don the boots and act as Batchy's physio, the closest i'll get to the dugout i reckon.
