couldn't resist mate! Got alot of time for Jonesy - scored over 20 goals this season from the bench, is effective when someone next to him has pace. Trevor did ok unitil the hayes game, thn didn't produce. The replacement big man we signed was far better but he didn't get a decent run in the side either. Shame cos u two up front toghether would've been a handful for any defence

re: strike pairing i agree but i think its a managers perogative to not pick the obvious strongest 11 they must think nah the players cant be right they dont know nothing and go the complete other way look at sven & the carrick situation!

I think that if a CCL league team gets relegated to allow the Ryman 2 teams in their will be an appeal to the FA. How can a league on the same level of the pyramid think they are better than the other. I can see a couple of teams from Ryman 2 in CCL 1 next year no matter what you have been promised. The issue is that the league has a constitution each year and can't change that when they want. It would not stand up in court.

Welcome SurreyLegend. I think you will find the league are not changing their constitution. they have been told by the FA to take these 7 clubs. They have no choice. If there are difficult decisions to be made then I am sure they will be hidden by "Ground Grading". I dont suppose most of the leagues commitee are too happy about it but I am afraid they will have to accept it. Are you linked to a club ?

Wembley Way, you go round all the CCL clubs asking them to use this forum and then when people do (like Surrey Legend) you give that response!!

But their constitution is a legal contract. It could be fought in court. THe Fa have said that the Ryman teams need to be in CCL but have not specified which league

Have to adnit that I can't really remember playing many CCL clubs over the last few years (apart from the odd County Cup game) - we nearly always got Spartan or Eastern Counties clubs in the FA Cup and Vase. That said, our cup record over the last say... 3 seasons has been so poor that we probably would have lost to Middx League teams!!!

 

Hopefully that's all going to change next season (not to blow a trumpet). I don't think we'll win the Vase or owt like that but I have a feeling we'll have a cup run of some sort, somewhere ( I assume that there's a CCL League Cup!)

The only league you are going to win WW is the CCL. So change it to that.

 

SurreyLeg (Can I call you that ?). The constitution is what is voted on at the AGM. All clubs can rise against it and vote that all 7 clubs go in Div 1 if they like. Then perhaps the FA will instruct Surrey FA to remove their Senior league status. None of us will know until 28th June after the votes. I think we can take it that all 7 clubs will be in the Premier.

So you reckon there is a possibility that they'll take a ryman2 side and place them CCL league one and not the prem, that could be fought in court as for the afore mentioned not a chance!

Well the CCL are having a meeting next Monday 12th June and have invited all 7 ex Ryman clubs along to meet the committee, so they must be sure that they are joining!
