How can a club that has been liquidated remain in the Conference? As FF implies, they wouldn't technically be 'relegated' five divisions - the team playing in the Sussex Senior League would be a completely new club.

Crawley's troubles do of course lead one to wonder whether the Conference sees their financial circumstances as any less precarious than Scarborough's.

I Think you may find a few clubs have been put into recievership. and been saved without being demoted.I seem to remember it happening to Newport county a few times.
If they are placing them into non proffesional leagues why not just disband the club.To be honest I dont know much about Crawley. do they own there own ground ? if so sell it,it will then cover debts.then ground share.

CRAWLEY Town players have been told their club faces liquidation .

Quote

The cash-strapped club went into administration last week with reported debts of £500,000.

Chas said he foresees it going into liquidation unless the creditors accept what – I would imagine – amounts to next to nothing."

After re reading the article it seems there not in liquidation yet

It's not looking good for one of my local sides.

I hear that people are already estimating the value of the ground.

OK - It's a Council owned ground ! So ask yourself. Who stands to make a few quid ?
