Think this guy will go on getting better and better, and as well as being able to score he can also provide,he will upset a few thats for sure, not getting carried away though we should and did beat them well, have feeling we might be causing concern in a few camps right now.

I hope so and he has already improved greatly as an international player. Getting 3 second half goals against Hungary who lets face it are not the worst team and 6 goals against Jamaica of which we are playing a team in the same position who go by the name of Trinidad and Tobago, but this is the World Cup, expect anything. Look what happened with France when they played Senegal in 2002

Peter Crouch maybe improving but is he in the class if Henry, Ronaldinho, Crespo? somehow, I don't think so. Sorry to be a party pooper but England will not win the WC for these reasons ( amongst others )

1. In this country, the emphasis is on acheiving club greatness and not that of the national team.

2. English players are not as skillful as their foreign counterparts. ( have we learned from Hungary in 1953?)

3. The World Cup is always played at the end of a very long English season.

Come next month, I hope I'm proved wrong.

totally disagree JJ crouch is not in the class of those you mentioned but he is very different and will im sure upset top defenders.if however rooney gets fit he is as good if not better than most.i dont think we will win it but im sure we will go very close.its holland for me

Dear JJ, some players become World class due to differentiating abilities,we cant tar them all with the same brush,so to speak,i think that overall as a nation we have become somewhat fickle, but who can blame that given our track record over four decades, there is a growing feeling that we have a good chance this time, and if lady luck contributes to our cause then who knows.

can you imagine if rooney(doubt) was fit and owen up front.we are in a semi final against brazil and the score is 1-1 with 20 minutes left, after being run ragged by rooney and owen the brazil centre backs look up to see someone who is 6ft 7 coming on,it would worry them no end as he is hard to play against and obviously someone who is in the form of their lives at the moment with confidence sky high

you don't need to be the worlds best player to have an effect on the game, just look what happened when he came on against the argies!!

Crouch did well, but lets bear in mind this was Jamaica of all teams. This match was only to build up confidence before the tournament proper and to give some lesser players a run around to see their appropriateness for the first team in Germany.

Germany beat Luxembourg 7-0 recently, so a 6-0 win against Jamaica cant be seen to be that impressive really.

I think we should enjoy it. Whenever we do well somebody has to say oh but it was only against them or we got lucky or they didnt have their best players playing. I bet most other countries dont have this attitude. Enjoy the success and hopefully we can carry this over to the finals.
