A fine signing for us. I am sure that Billy will provide the quality that we are looking for in such a key position. Well done to all concerned on that shock <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> signing. A positive step for our team.

 

See that Lee and Purdie have followed McBride to Hx so Thurrock's squad looks completely decimated with the likelihood of more on the way.

im a thurrock fan im gutted that u have billy mcmahon the best goalkeeper in non league ask any thurrock fan about havant away the best performance ive seen from any thurrock player ever much better than paul gothard im gutted to lose such a great keeper u are so lucky great with the fans and the little kids good luck billy

Now now Gazza - you should be the first to realise that these pre-season predictions can go t*ts up. Tough league next season, with lots of potential front runners, and the Clarets could find it more difficult than they think, especially with a 6 man squad!

gazza its abit different a couple of fans winding you up to JEs comments before the beginning of this season.

 

i just hope Jeff King/Pennyfather are not niave enough to say that we will get promotion as it will put a curse on our season.

 

both of our Clubs will be optimistic for the season ahead and hopefully we will both have a good season for the good of local non league football.

Well, i am always a tad biased towards keepers as it is in my opinion the most important position on the pitch. Billy has proved himself at Thurrock to be a quality keeper. As Ovengloves knows only too well the only time a keeper is in a no lose situation is from a penalty, the rest of the time you can be great for all of a game, but drop one cross and bingo a goal. Welcome Billy and good luck. Billy could well prove to be a real fans favourite.
