Next Seasons shirts

Recommended Posts

Any news on next seasons team shirts, will they be the same designs, and what are people doing with their existing replica shirts, we've got loads of them, but they say either Kings or Thorney Bay on them, will people wear them ever again now we have a new start or use them to wash their cars ?

Don't see a problem with wearing last season's shirts to next season's games if you're not going to buy one for this coming season. I assume the design will differ and the sponsor could change but it's still yellow w/ blue.

My 'latest' shirt is the orange away kit, so I will most probably be updating my shirt this season - Will probably be home, although I do enjoy collecting the weird and wonderful variety of away shirts we produce.... I might get both

"John Batch advised that there will be a new kit based on the Arsenal shirt. It will be Yellow Shirt, Sky Blue Shorts, White Socks. This kit will be available from the first friendly on 22nd July 2006. The Club Shop will hold the kit and will be stocked on a sale/return basis. The Club Shop will undergo a refit."

The white shirts did look smart and I actually preferred the one from the 04/05 season that was on limited release to the one that was on sale last season. All the seasons I've been following Canvey, white kits has featured the most during away matches, (4? seasons worth) so I wouldn't be surprised to see it continue... A bugger to wash though, I bet!

I actually prefer the White away shirts TBH.

Do we know what colour next seasons away kit will be and are there any plans to sell these as well? Not sure if the club could justify the extra expenditure.

They are going to have to make an away kit anyway so they may as well make a few more and sell them, usually the more you make the cheaper it is especially as John Batch`s company supply the kit.

That Orange one was definitely an anomoly then - made the team look like a set of traffic cones.

It was dreadful - wonder who would have been that unfashion concious to buy one? still if you have a part time job directing planes at Heathrow you'd be alright.

Me, me, me!!

I have the second sky-blue one as well! The badge on that one was really crap and sewn on wonky though!

Think I'll have to get the home shirt at least this season, my current one is now five seasons out of date. I'll need to re-print my name on the back too!

What about a revert to the original Canvey strip of white shirts with black shorts and red flashes ? Why did the yellow shirts evolve anyway, anyone know ?

Was that the original home colours? I thought it was black and white or amber stripes?

I'd like to know who's idea it was to revert from Royal blue to Sky blue on the recent home strips!

No, I preferred the Royal Blue as well. The 2002/03 kit was very nice...

As was the Sky Blue away kit for that season too...

Don't know why we had to change it to Sky Blue for the home kit as well though!

as far as i can remember when i was playing for Canvey in the early and mid eighties (ESL) it was a Canvey strip of white shirts with black shorts and red flashes..a bit like the old Man.Utd away strip of the time...and in the 18`s we played with the red shirts with black shorts with black and red flashes..again very much the same as the Man.Utd.home shirt..
