The proposed Constitution of the League for 2006/2007 has now been forwarded to all Member clubs and includes two new clubs plus Clapton who have been allocated from the Ryman 2 but as these two new clubs, one in the NW of the County and the other just inside the London boundary are subject to approval by the Football Association National Leagues Committee, who have, so far, been extremely co-operative and fully appreciate that, having lost three clubs going up, want to help to restore the status quo, the applications are Provisional, so it is probably best to wait until the AGM on June 14th before anything further is said. If we are given this opportunity to remain at 16 it will be a springboard to work on for 2007/2008 when we hope to continue co-operating with the F A and can conform to the new ideals of the National League system ( 20/22 member clubs )plus a Step 6 second division.

Lets bloody hope so! 26 games in a season would be an absolute disgrace!!! However we would be finished by mid-March!

If we are lacking numbers next season, it must be three games against each other surely? It's alright doing the LC in group stages, but too many dead midweek matches are a waste of time.

LC back to straight knock out, apart from the semis and the GBT reverting back to a repechage competition...only a thought.

I agree about the League Cup situation, however I disagree about playing each team three times. Thats is pure mickey mouse!!!

With regards to League Cup, I would not fancy a Tuesday Night game away to Sawbridgeworth or Clapton!!!

Playing each team three times is the kind of thing sunday league teams do. The ESL would become a laughing stock!

Worked in Scotland okay, but you did say Mickey Mouse! I kinda see where you are coming from, but only a couple of cup runs saved us from having our last home game in the first week of March, which just ain't on.

Bank Holidays should be used more, and I do not hold with clubs requesting not to play at certain times of the year, ie Xmas.

We are a Senior League, no? I nearly early season is awkward with FA Cup and FA Vase etc, but why not revert to a full programme again over Easter.

Oh happy days of Friday, Saturday and Monday matches..

i think the league cup group stage is good because it gives managers the chance to rotate the squads and keep everyone ticking over....and we get more games. the more the merrier.

Its all b*ll*ks! The FA wanted to restructure step 5 with all leagues having 20/22 teams. So they ignore us who need 6/7 teams and instaed give more teams to the Spartan/CCL who already have enough teams and 2 divisions.

The leagues need to be renamed and the geographical area re-done because its just not working. Why are some of the Rigdeons Teams not in our league? We could have had Hertford, Wembley, Kingsbury and edgware in our league and instead we take f**king Clapton! Thats s**t!

I think the powers that be in our league need to sort themselves out. Our league is becoming a joke and playing the same teams 4-6 times in a season is beyond a joke!
