Gooding gone to Angels

Recommended Posts

Good luck. Going full time might help you more on the pitch though?

Always had a soft spot for the Fleet, used to love going to Stonebridge Road. Sad to hear about all the terracing behind the goal going, thats what made the ground for me. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I don't feel anything about him - his football ability however.....

.....let's just say that I've said it before and I'll say it again - every player finds their true level.

Hence he's at Tonbridge Angels and not another conference club.

I expect you will say the same about Jacko, Macca, Skins and Proths

I'm wishing Scott the best of luck at the Angels. I got on quite well with him while he was at the fleet, and although he may not have been a favourite amongst a few of the fans (because they liked the player who's place he took), he was, and still is, a fine footballer.

well tahst progress, get rid of an established right back as Gooding is "Full Time" then release him and he goes down a level.

Nay, two levels.

FF, labelling players as 'rubbish' is overly simplistic - all players have things they do well and things they don't do so well. Gooding, for example, was a competent tackler, but, at Conference level, didn't have much of a range of passing and suffered at times from a poor positional sense. As a consequence, based on his performances for the Fleet, it's hardly surprising he's dropped down a couple of levels.

Best of luck to him in the future though - he was unfairly made a scapegoat at times following Proths' sacking.
