Noticed in the independent that Whitewebbs Centre may be forced to close and is struggling to attract new users and needs football, cricket, bowls and archery teams to join those who are already using the facilities.(all from the editorial and not made up by me)

 

Now where could we have a home pitch for a reserve team??? Mind you, it would depend on what facility could be on offer and what standard of football could be played there.

I think the article says the place needs £50k spent on it. Seems to me that with the possibility of development of the Myddleton House site and the precedent for developing green belt land [along with that being fought over at Crews Hill], we'll soon be looking forward to those nice people from Fairview keeping themselves busy there.

Is the the ground that used to be the British Gas ground, and was another works ground before that - Rolenmil I think? If so, it's a very nice pitch.
