first album I bought

First album I bought was in early 1984. I was only eight, so this was perhaps a rather surprising choice for an eight year old!! Actually, I'd bought various compilation albums before (Charthits 82, Now 1 & 2) so I guess this was the first non-compilation album I bought....

 

 

I must've been a weird kid. One of the first singles I bought was in December 1983 - "That's All" by Genesis! I bought it on the same day as "Rat Rapping" by Roland Rat!!

I think the first one I'd admit to buying was the Bends, had a lot of compilations like the 'Nows' and stuff like the best of Queen, problem is, I don't really think I got seriously in to music until I was about 15, I am a late developer, but I am definately catching up...

No idea, probably a Beatles album on cassette tape. I remember joining one of those crappy record clubs and getting "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" as well as a Barclay James Harvest Album and, the one that put me off Led Zep:
