Just said on the radio, Rooney's been told not to train for at least 6 weeks.

Whatever news is correct, however it may look to some Graham,I think its safe to assume that things arent looking good for a Rooney appearance.

The others will have to go it alone by the looks of things.

Just read on sky sport site, Rooney out for group stages, another scan on the 14th, then see. Personally i can't see how he can regain enough fitness after such a long period of relative inactivity. But i am no expert.

according to the fa and the bbc website rooney will opnly miss the group stages and probly the second round of the finals if the scan is clear on 14th june

I suspected that he wouldnt be back until the quarter finals. I think we can cope as long as Owen doesnt suffer a breakdown during a game.

as it is uncertain that Rooney will play a part in the World Cup then dont take him and replace him with a player who 100%. A player is not as good as the team and we will win the World Cup if we are a team and not individuals.
