Kent online reports that James Pinnock turned down another contract at Welling to join Margate. Phil Handford states that they could not match the money that Margate have offered him. He states that we are not talking about £10 or £20 difference but hundreds. There must be a really serious budget for Trott to use this season. CK must be kicking himself.

Or is it that the budget from last year was ill used.Too many players came & went.40 ish wasnt it? Maybe its that Trotty is being sensible with his cash & just using it in the right places.Less players through the door but with more quality.

Of course you could also be correct in what you say about there being more money on the table in which case we owe it to the club to turn up in even more numbers than last season to help play our part & to thank them.

What everyone forgets about the difference in the budget this yesr to last is that we have lost a very very highly paid manager and assistant manager from it.

Probally, the same money but spread more evenly. Now lets sell Yiga & BB and recoup a little bit more for the budget.

Welling seem to be having to operate on a tight budget this year. I doubt Pinns is being paid over the odds but we needed a good striker and they don't come cheap. Just more a case of making sure we didn't miss out I would think.

I know very little abouit pinnock.

 

Is he a good striker?

I thought he played deeper in the brayley role.

What are his strenghts-height, speed ?

 

As i say, i know little about Pinnock and his style-perhaps someone could enlighten please

He usually likes to play just off the striker in a deeper role. Can't remember if he was quick when he came here on loan a few years ago but he does work hard.

He's not really a striker more of an attacking midfield player.

 

He scored in 12 goals in 74 appearances for us (43+31) and I believe had a similar strike record at Welling.

He has definately signed for us and i think he would be a key asset for us. Another ex Gravesend player it wont surprise me if we change our name to Margate & Gravesend & Northfleet. I aint complaining though as they are all excelent signings. Keep them coming Trotty
