Great isn't it? We are going to the World Cup with our two main strikers injured, a tactically inept coach who would undoubtedly been sacked if the FA could have afforded to do so, two players (Carson and Walcott) who cannot get a game in their club's 1st teams and a side who cannot beat a 10 man team of Belarus reserves.

 

Hope I am wrong but I really with the best will in the world cannot see England doing much in Germany (though as I say I will be delighted to have those words shoved back in my face at some time in the not too distant future) and cannot see much past the Brazilians or Argentina lifting the trophy again.

i wondered if hargreaves was actually playing for us, why he didnt get subbed at half time is beyond me. Lennon definately deserved man of the match. Theo should of started as we didnt see that much of him.

Aaron Lennon - enough said to prove that that game was worth while. The result was not important, but that lad could potentially light up the World Cup.

It was only meant to be a warm up game for second string players and players coming back from injury.

 

Apart from their two goals, i didn't see much of them and thought they were poor and we were alright.

 

The players knew not to care too much about the result as it was a 'B' international. Their were positives to take from it. Lennon looks unafraid to perform in the England shirt, unlike some players such as Downing. Walcott looks great on the ball. great control, very quick to shoot correctly and movement is good too.

 

Downing only gets picked because of McClaren. I have only ever heard he is a talent but whenever i see him play for Boro or England, i never see any. Why oh why he gets picked in front of Etherington of West Ham who has been skinning people on the left all season is beyond me. He has a natural left foot and looks so comfortable on the ball using his left, which we have been crying out for for years.
