Paul Hopkins, Chelmsford City Chairman, confirmed the following 16 squad members at the fans meeting at the clubhouse this evening-

 

R McKinney (Gk)

J Conroy (D)

B Chenery (D)

Peter Smith (D)

S Ward (D)

S Bimson (D)

Liam Hopkins (D/M)

M Noto (M)

M Duffy (M)

Jeff Minton (M)

Jason Hallett (S)

T Battersby (S)

K Ibe (S)

Tom Byrne (S)

Ricky Holmes (S)

Mitchell Loews

 

Paul added that the club were looking at a final squad of 18 to 20 players.

 

It will be interesting to see how they perform against Southend's first team this Saturday.

So, you got Bimson and Lowes as well? Congratulations you have enough players for an entire ex-Canvey starting line-up.

 

GK. McKinney

RB. Conroy, CB. Ward, CB. Chenery, LB. Bimson.

RM. Noto, CM. Lowes, CM. Minton, LM. Duffy

F. Hallett, F. Ibe

 

That's a line-up that could win the Ryman Premier.

That's also a line up that lost to sides such as Burnham last year. We'll soon find out who's there to play football and who's just going along for the financial ride.

considering that this is a Canvey forum - it would be a good idea to keep to that topic!

anyway isn't it insensitive to keep pointing out that so many of Canveys previous players have gone to ccfc?

I'm sure some of it is posted just to gloat.

our interest now is the forthcoming season.

as for not reading whats posted,please......

I don't see a problem with this thread personally so it will remain open unless another Mod sees fit to close it.

 

I enjoy seeing where former players end up and how they perform for their respective clubs whether it be for the money or not. I didn't see any complaints about players following the money at other Clubs? *Cough* Maidenhead!

 

I've said it before, I'll say it again - I wish the majority of the players that played for us last season all the best for the future, whichever team they play for.

Indeed i did and i explained my reasons at the time but i don`t see what that`s got to do with this thread.

As i said before if you don`t like a thread or have no interest in it don`t reply to it!
