I thought GLORIA was sung by some bird from the lyrics, "Gloria, Gloria, I think they've got Elliott (Elliott), but you really don't remember, all the voices in your head, calling Gloria". Can't remember her name though.

It was Laura Branigan, Ryan (at least I've got SOMETHING right today!)

New signings today, I see BC.

One more and you'll have a five-a-side team. No, I'm joking. Early days. I see that the Iron have 7 but at our place, the manager clearly likes to take June 'off'. The squad of 20 is all in place. No excitement of daily anticipation for us Saintsfans.

Good luck with it.

"New signings today, I see BC."

Yes indeed AFF - but "unofficial" of course, not yet registered with the Ryman League.

It would appear that for the third year running we'll be starting with a completely new squad - just hope they "gel" quickly, and we can get away from the starting blocks a little better than last season (6 points from 10 games).

(suspect we'll be kicked off this forum shortly - CCFC, St Albans City, Iron - no mention of Ricay!)

No it will be allright, BC. Gazza's away. Peter Foster is standing in and he's fairly relaxed about these rules and regulations.

Ricay!, Ricay!, Ricay!. Come on you Ricay!!

Perhaps I could make a request for the Ricay drive-time show on Classic Ricay Gold, proud sponsors of the Mighty Ricay this season, this afternoon.

The first record ever played on Radio One please, David Baker.

I feel another quiz question coming on. It's that time of the year.

See what he did? Shut the whole board down!

Flowers In The Rain by The Move, by the way.

Now, here's one for a real Anorak! Helen Shapiro & Billy Piper both have very similar, but subtly different, claims to chart fame. What are they and what were the songs in question?

Thanks Gazza and Balmoral Claret for clearing that one up. So it was 'Them' for whom Van Morrison was the lead singer who first recorded his hit 'G-L-O-R-I-A', then. Hmmmn. AFF and Rick will be pleased to have confirmation of something that was established last week within an hour of the question being set on Thursday.

Anyway. Gazza. What on earth are you doing on this message board at the end of May while you are on honeymoon? Get off it and do something else with Mrs Gazza.

David Baker. Any chance of sending good wishes to Billericay Town from The Mighty Saints today with 'Oliver's Army' by Elvis Costello & The Attractions?
