WTF IS HE PLAYING AT?

Robin Trott has told Bertie Brayley that he does not form part of his plans for this coming Season and as such the Club has listed Bertie on the transfer list.

Robin has also released John Keister from the squad. John, who has been with the Club since March 2001, has been a dedicated servant to the Club and we wish him all the best for his future in football.

He really is starting 2 F**k me off now! Sort it out RT

Calm Down Butler.I think whats happening now is mostly for the best.Watch this space for expected improvements from these decisions.I know, you are in shock.I was too.But I dare say Trotty has it all under control. He hasnt,so far, given us any cause to complain has he? As much as it may confuse us lets give him a chance to assemble HIS team. Lets face it, with the new aquisitions he has made recently can you honestly say things aren't looking up.

I think it's good news. Ok my initial reaction was shock but if we can replace these two midfield departures with one excellent player then we are in business. The signings are very good so far.

This should free up money for a good striker, sub goalkeeper and maybe even a centre back as well.

Good point SSS. It might well have come down to Protheroe v Brayley, bearing in mind the megastar money these boys are reputed to be on.

Bertie started well, but didn't look as good in the last couple of games he played. He combined well with Hocky up front, but apparently doesn't like playing up there.

On balance if it was a straight choice between the two I would pick Proths. Do others agree?

Yeah Brayley is a good player but with the type of players who we are signing are better then Brayley and Brayley is a type of player that wants to play football week in week out and i think it was a 2 way thing between Trott and Brayley. As for getting rid of Keister i cannot really understand that but then again he wont be getting much first team football i dont think next season. However this now makes Mitten as our longest serving player of 3 years. I think we 1 or 2 midfeilders on the way that are better then Brayley and Keister, which will be an excenlent find as they were both excelent players for us. We will have to wait and see.

I agree with Phil D, good luck Bertie at your next club. He showed up at the end of season bash with his little kid and everything, so I was hoping he would break the mould and stick with us. Looks like he might have been too expensive, but hey good luck mate all the same.

With the midfield signings already made JK would not have been in the starting 11. Would still have been an excellent squad player but at Dover he will be playing every week(unless suspended, of course). The wage bill can only stretch so far so something had to give hence BB being released although not sure if it will cost the club money as he was contracted to play for next season. I just hope Hockton stays as he is good mates with Bertie. Just one more defender and goalkeeper and we're there.

BB seemed over rated to me. did well in first few games but then didnt seem to put much effort in. seemed like he wanted everything done exactly his way or he wasnt going to try. not a great loss imo.

You couldnt fault Bertie for his work rate. He may have gone of the boil in his last few games but to say he didnt put himself about or wasnt trying is ridiculous.No-one ran more than he did.

For whatever reason it is that he's is gong its still a crying shame but if thats Trottys decision then we should accept it. Lets not forget that Bertie is still officially a "Gate" player until someone comes in for him.Bertie did us proud here & thats something we should be thankful to him for.

The first home game i saw BB play he made the rest look like a pub team. I dont think he looked good up front though. But i must admit Trotty has impressed me. He tells it like it is and i think we are going to see some good footy this season. I am realy looking forward to the new season.
