Read in the NLP yesterday that AFC Wallingford (I think) have applied to move to the Hellenic and that Reading Town might join em there.

 

Does anybody know what the make up of the league is gonna be next year yet? Bit hard to get excited about next season when I don't really know who we've got to worry about... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

More than used to that after all those years in the Ryman League! Probably get fixtures the day before the opening day of the season!

Cool - can't wait. Lots of new grounds to visit pretty much no matter what. It'll be interesting to have North Greenford Utd for a derby (if they're still in the CCL). Has it come to this?

As for N.Greenford Mick Harvey has taken over with Bob Strutton so will be getting a few players in

Mainly the complete turn around at Vale Farm since Batesy stepped up to the player-manager role (something us fans had wanted for some time). All the things that had been missing under Julian are suddenly in evidence - passion, organisation, a will to win and a team spirit that I haven't seen in a good few seasons at the Farm.

I don't think it'll be easy - after all, we've still got no money (although I don't know if anyone else in the CCL has either!) and there are a lot of unknown quantities for us to come to terms with but I think from our point of view we're confident, looking forward to it (for the first time in ages) and I don't think we'll fear anyone.

I think a couple of teams will have some cash to get out of the divison next year there is always at least 2 that really go for it!

I think the problem is the Lions have been in the doldrums for manys a moon now - without even false dawns to keep us going! - so it's difficult for the infidels to believe us when we say we on the up.
