Trust AGM - 12th July

The Trust AGM is on 12th July and there are clearly many items to talk about. Will the Secretary be issuing a call for items for the Agenda and will the Agenda be published before the meeting? It would be helpful if a Notice of Meeting could be published on the Trust Website. Does the Constitution demand that this is done and if so, how many days before the meeting?

Also, The list of members of the Trust Board is marked as correct in January 2005, so is this the current Board? it might also be helpful for the constitution to be published on the Trust Site.

Can we also know who is due to retire - obviously it will not be known if they are standing for re-election until the nominations have been completed.

Before anybody throws a wobbly, this is not a go at the Trust or the Secretary, just an enquiry from a member for information which also could be useful to others, given that we want to encourage members to attend and to participate.

As soon as I receive information from the Trust for the site, either myself or Matt Webb will update it. Matt did a fine job about two months ago now in updating large chunks of it, but the impression I get from the Trust is that it is a forgotten resource and I think something which needs to be scrapped if they do not wish to utilise it as it appears at present.

Personally I think it's important for the Trust to have a presence on the internet, and thus I think the site should stay.

The Official site is being updated over the summer, and the plan is to update the Trust site with more information too. Hendon for example (amongst others) have a website for their Trust - www.hfctrust.co.uk - with details of meetings etc, and more information on the aims of the Trust along with a mission statement etc, so maybe these are some of the things we should be looking at for the STST site.

Andrew - A letter will be with you by the end of the month , you will then have 14 days to put in your nomination (form will be enclosed with each letter)

Those who are up for re election are :

Ollie Hayward

Alan Harding

Mark Hunter

and one spare place.. un filled.

If I receive more than 5 applications then a postal ballot will be held - with a independant ajudicator colating the votes. then the results will be ratifiyed at the AGM on the 12th July.

As for items for Agenda ...you may write at any time - 365 days a year and raise items (you have done this in the past and have had items discussed in the board meetings and received letters back) so anytime is your answer.

If its specific to the AGM then right upto the opening of the meeting.

regards chris sliski - secretary

If you wish a copy of the rules (no constitution) they are available for the cost of 20 pounds with a SAE to our head office.

cheers chris
