I dont know why I watch it but I do ,I suppose its become a tradition down the years ,and the hilarious voting system is worth tuning in for .Having seen the opening exchanges with songs from Moldova,Malta,Israel,Latvia,Germany,Croatia, Lithuania. Then came the U K entry which was as funny as per normal(Nice Birds in school uniform though) . But WHOA ! Then came the Finland entry what a shocker <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bigshock.gif" alt="" />Lead singer- A Roy wood look alike dressed as a Klingon backed up by freddie Kruger on guitar lookalike and the rest of the group dressed as klingons I was impressed to say the least well done them for making my night. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" />

I don't usually watch it but this year I did. It was made by the pee-taking and protest entries, Finland, Lithuania and Iceland, who sadly did not make it past the semi-final thing.

 

I'm not sure whether the UK entry should be taken seriously or not (well, as seriously as Eurovision can ever be taken). And what the hell was that Turkish thing all about?

I really enjoyed the Lithunanian entry which was as the mighty Wogan said a football chant along the lines of "we are the winners vote for us."

The real problem is................

 

............it's no longer a song competition, but a political back-slapping jamboree.

 

All the leftie commie states vote for each other, and considering there are far more of them that normal people, they do well.

 

I think Finland deserved to win, purely because of their nerve !!!

 

No - I didn't watch the whole programme. Just flicked over from time to time during the adverts on other channels.

My wife watched the entire programme, I was in the room and dozed off at intervals only to wake up 15 minutes later to what appeared to be the same song! Finland I saw in the replay and agree that as the biggest piss take of the event they deserved to be winners.
