Just as an aside, it is to be hoped that Windsor do make significant improvements in the pitch. Popped in to SYCOB today and peered over the fence and their surface already looks 10 times better than Windsor's at its best. If it stays that way I am sure Eddie will be grimacing come the friendly fixture up there!

Thinking about what as happened i have come to the conclusion that. (1) If the fans had been all in favour of staying at Windsor, but Maidenhead offered a better deal we would gone to Maidenhead. (2) If the fans had been in favour of Going to Maidenhead but if Windsor offered a better deal we would stay at Windsor. What ever ground the fans wanted would have made no difference, this was pureley a commercial decision. The trust being asked for ther opinion was just window dressing.

Without the fans owning the club, that is inevitable to an extent. He who pays the piper calls the tune. What consulting the trust does to is ensure that the more silly ideas like ground sharing with Harrow do not happen.

In this case I would hazard to guess that there was no strong clear fans preference one way or the other, in which case Roy and Bernard would naturally go with their choice. Had the message been very strongly for a particular ground, that might have outweighed their preferance. It wasn't (as far as I can figure out), so it didn't.

I understand W&E have applied to enter a Youth team in the Midweek Allied Counties League. Yet another weekly fixture at the meadow. Roy Merryweather also happens to be president of that league so he must have known of W&E intentions.

Roger I am sorry your last posting, indicates that the choice was done and dusted which ever way....sorry I think your wrong...The club want to move to Maidenhead I beleive and only after some pleading by Peter simpson and guarantees given and also the supporters problems of distance and parking...the club changed its mind..

Remember Martyn Deaner wanted to go to Harrow, I had to intervene and had almost an argument with Marytn that this would be a disaster , even though a deposit was paid , we managed to turn that decision around....so the meeting with the supporters Trust did have an effect...

Chris, if I remember correctly, the decision not to play at Harrow was decided when Martyn held an open meeting and tried to sway the supporters with the deposit already paid to Harrow, with an almost unanimous verdict voting to move to Windsor by the supporters present.

omg this is just getting pathetic now...the decision is made, lets just look to next season!!!

Im sure Bernard and Roy and Eddie will be very pleased to see that the decision they have made is being disputed on our very own forum...its a wonder how they still manage to run the club properly anymore, they could so easily just pack it in and leave the club to die away.

WHY cant we all just get on the same team for once?!?! No amount of moaning on here will get anything done. Every single decision seems to be disputed, why can you not just focus on the fact that the club is still alive and has somewhere to play for the foreseeable future!

If you have no problems with the move to windsor...STOP moaning...if you have a problem with the fans consultation...DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, dont moan on here!! Either get in the trust/on the trust board, or go and speak to someone who matters about it ie Roy or Bernard.

Chris at the meeting he had already been in touch with windsor as he was able to quote the amounts - harrow wanted £20000 and he had put down a £6000 deposit, and windsor wanted £25000.

What he was looking for was would he be able to recoup the extra £5000 by more fans going to windsor than harrow.

By talking to the fans he made sure he was doing the right thing finacialy and also for the fans of the club.

I think Roy & Bernard have done similar but with a smaller consultation.

SR - I don't agree with that at all. From what I understood, Harrow was an option as Nick Robinson (some Ryman official) was involved at Harrow and it would look favourably on us to have gone there, so he tried to make Harrow look the more appealing option.

I believe that Roy and Bernard, with input from the Trust board, have got the club the best deal on offer from the options available. The decision has been made, let's move on.

With all due respect SR, we'll only do that by all pulling in the same direction. Whilst I totally agree that no body or individual should be beyond criticism, we must be constructive with it in a bid to improve all round.

First step towards that SR: every fan getting behind the trust and its campaign to return to Slough. A campaign that proved very effective in the recent local elections. But we can't even agree on that. So what is the point?

SR ..don't remember any positive comments from you regarding the elections or any offer of help ??? or do you views on us standing were not to your liking or did we not consult you...

apologies again...

I personally think if we wait for you and roger and andrew to put your 4 pennies worth , nothing would get done or acheived...maybe you should all join the liberals...and sit on the fence and jump which ever which way suits, sometimes in life decisions have to be made good or bad... the trust will always try its best for our supporters members or non members...we are supporters after all and not some outside group...

I agree you have opions and in the future if you not happy with things I suggest you ask us to looking into things for you and try to help the situation or you do it yourselves ...you know where Roys office is....knock and say hello...
