You too got a communication once the decision was made - were you consulted personally?

What were you expecting? An invitation to tea and biscuits with Roy and Bernard so you could personally get your views across?!

What did YOU do to offer your views? Mountain people. Valley people.

I'm sure that Roy, Bernard, Eddie and many of the players look in on this forum, but, how useful is it to them? We have about 30 people who post, some who just read, but probably at most a sixth of our support either looking or posting on here? Is that enough?

If not they are missing a key means of communication.

I think that even though i wanted the club to go to Maidenhead i now think that staying in Windsor will be better finacially for the club.

Windsor are spending money on the pitch which is great news, Less travelling time to Windsor Probably a cheaper deal than Maidenhead and some well needed Stability and you dont have to pay to park.

I think the only reason Maidenhead looked like a better option was that it has covered ends.

If Windsors pitch improves then theres no reason why we should need to move. The fact that we already know where we are playing next year and we already have three friendly games lined up i think that we should show some gratitude to those who have organised this all so early in close season.

Staines Rebel, it seems to me that you're never happy unless you've got something to whinge about - and it seems typical you've thrown your toys out of the pram yet again by deleting your previous posts - just like the numerous occasions where you have threatened never to come to watch Slough games ever again, only to keep coming back.

I am a Trust member and I can see that the Trust is there to represent the fans of the club, in a similar way to the old Slough Town Supporters Association. If you want to be a part of it then great, but if you don't, then no-one is forcing you to join. But when the Club needs to know the opinions of supporters, they will naturally turn to the Trust as representatives of the fans.

But it doesn't mean your opinion can't be heard - the Trust considered all opinions from supporters, members or not, and you had plenty of time in which to make your feelings clear to Trust board members. From what I gather, the meetings today were conducted in a very professional manner and resulted in a very satisfactory conclusion for the club. I'm not quite sure what makes you think that the Slough Town Supporters' Trust would want anything other than the best for Slough Town Football Club. I'm sure if STFC moved to Maidenhead or Beaconsfield, you'd find plenty more to criticise. I'm really glad this groundshare has been sorted out well before the alloted deadline, and this now means STFC can get on with other pre-season preparations.

I would also say to both you and Roger that I am not a Trust board member, and neither are Gary, Emma, Brighton Rebel, ARAAS, and Tom, all of whom have differences in opinion to you - but I am perfectly happy with the Trust representing my views in this matter because I know that I can do something about it if I really want to (in other words, be a Trust member and stand for election to the board if you feel so inclined).

For the record, I thought that Maidenhead was going to be the best option but now I'm pretty sure that Windsor is far better for the club, and I am looking forward to the new season.

As Gary stated above he thought the deal was done and dusted that we would move to Maidenhead ! The reason we did not was proberly down to the Trust to have taken on board many of the concerns that our supporters would be in a difficult situation regarding getting there and parking (this was one of the most talked about items when supporters were discussing the whole issue before the end of the season)

We checked the car parks and walking distances and additional costs and felt it was going to give a headache to many of our fans and pressed this case home during the meeting, also the cost of moving portacabins and office materials.

This may have ended up losing more fans ! and it would then decrease the revenue, therefore not being able to cover costs....the alternative was to stay at Windsor and after meeting with Peter Simpson and thrashing out many items and convincing Eddie Denton that indeed things would be improved, The club also negotiated a deal close to the Maidenhead offer, therefore we were convinced to stay at Windsor for another year ! Maidenhead have been very helpful and have comented that there door will still be open if things don't got right at Windsor this coming season.

Clive ? Eddie has been convinced - but you have still taken the moral high ground and that your supporters Trust representatives did not go into this meeting with the supporters in mind ?

NO WAY ! is my answer.....We are supporters Too !

To answer one of the above problems of the stay at Windsor , I agree and was also one of the supporters issues , was the lack of athmosphere at Stag Meado and the lack of Covered area's behind the goal,

If anyone can look into finding out about with maybe a local company who works in fabrication to see how much would it be to build some covering at each end of the ground ! I will take this seriously to the board and see what can be done to re address this problem...

If the structure was similar to what is along the side of the ground I am sure it would not cost to much and maybe at the AGM we could have some figures of cost , and put it to our members to have this work carried out, therefore helping our supporters !

cheers Chris sliski - Secretary STST.

Lets move on.....Please....... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Matt what I object to is being told what is right for me.

I now wish to be heard as an individual with my own opinions, and sometimes these will differ from the club, trust and other fans.

That is why I have withdrawn from the trust.

I am actually happy to stay at Windsor (would still have prefered to be in slough somewhere)- but it was the lack of communication from the club to the individual supporter that was the issue.

Congrats to the club and trust for getting the decision made early.

With Windsor now training somewhere else, and Windsor promising to do a LOT of work on the pitch, Eddie can now get down to getting a good side out for next season in the Ryman.

I would like to thank the Trust for being their and voicing the fans views, at least the ones of the fans that viewed their opinions to Chris and Co previously.

Considering what has happened in previous close seasons, I belive that it is good news that we have such a lot sorted at such an early stage for next season.
