Crawley penalised by Conference

 

Crawley Town have been deducted three points and fined £5,000 by the Conference for exceeding their annual player budget in the 2005/06 season.

The points have been taken off Crawley's total which does not threaten their position in the Conference.

 

In addition, £2,000 of the fine has been suspended for 12 months but may be invoked should the club be in breach of their approved budget again next term.

 

Crawley exceeded the wage cap agreed at the start of last season.
