Out of all the disciplines and qualities that a complete player needs.Such as Goalscoring,heading, passing, dribbling,vision, strengh,tackling.Then Rooney is the best.Rooney could drop back and be a world class midfielder.Could Lampard or Gerrard be worldclass forwards? I don't think they could.

 

The best way to decide it is: Who would you put your life on to win a game , if there were a team of 11 Rooneys,playing against 11 gerrards or 11 Lampards??

Henry has some qualities that he is the best in the world at (as does Ronaldino),no question.And his goalscoring record is slighty better than Rooneys at present.But he is not a goal paocher/natural preditor.If a cross is about to come in, he will step back towards the edge of the box,hoping for a knockdown.A natural poacher would attack the near of far post. Henry is not a good header of the ball.Henry puts in short bursts of effort and strengh,but Rooney shows his determination and strengh for much longer periods in games than Henry does.Rooney will go into full blooded challenges to regain possesion, Henry rarely does.

 

They are equally good at many things,but i can think of more things that Rooney does better than Henry,than Henry does better than Rooney.

 

Name one thing that Henry has over Rooney, apart from a slightly better goals per games ratio.
