The Brotherhood would like to apologise. We were under the illusion that Spurs have been in the elite european competition for the last 8 years. Clearly wrong. When Spurs get into the champions league final/ the champions league knock out stages/ the champions league group stages/ the champions league qualifying round, then you can begin to take the p*ss.

Keep your thursday nights free.

well said brotherhood, arsenal lose a final and they all pipe up,anyway i would rather one of the worlds top 3 players wants to stay with us than win the champs league, yeah it would of been nice but keeping henry is sweeter, watch this space spurs boys and don't forget to record eastenders on a thursday or watch the omnibus to keep up with your favourite programme that you are so used to!!

Yeah, I hear you, but the Champions League is the biggie. I can't believe you'd honestly rather have a, let's face it, tired-looking Henry for another five years, than to have won the Cup the other night.

And actually, if Arsenal were planning properly for the future, I do wonder whether they may have been better off accepting about £30m for Henry, especially considering he'll be 33 by the time his new contract expires, and expanding their transfer kitty a little bit.

As it is now, I can't see there's a great amount of cash for Wenger to strengthen his squad enough to make a serious challenge to Chelsea next season.

not too sure, think there is about 50 million available due to the flat sales and sponsorship deal with emirates, doubt he would want to spend it all though, think he knows he needs at least two new players,i reckon 25 million on two quality players, needs a centre forward and a couple of midfielders though and thats if cole stays

also i think with henry there they have a very good chance of winning the champions league,i know it is the holy grail for arsenal and most other clubs but i just think henry staying and the talent coming through will be enough to at least challenge chelsea and the cream of europe, plus van persie and reyes may come good although i am not too sure about reyes but he has the talent

i think as long as the flat sales went ok and it is my understanding that they are either all sold or very nearly sold then there would be about that figure made available, don't know whether this includes henrys new deal though

also i have heard they have sold or will sell all the season tickets available next season but i think that was always going to be the case as their is a 8-10 year waiting list for the old highbury

my understanding is that the sale of the flats with the sponsorship from emirates together more than eclipses the final amount paid for the new stadium, plus they have been fairly shreud in the transfer market compared to other top european clubs and their merchandising profits are stronger than ever
