OK. Our finances are a little stretched at the moment, largely caused by a drop in average home attendance from 1336 in season 2004/5 to 1092 last season - a drop of 244 (-18%). (Figures courtesy of Confguide).

At an average of £10 per supporter, that works out as a shortfall in excess of £50,000. Possible the single most important reason for our plight at the moment.

We have all come up with ideas to bolster crowds, many of which have been trialled, most of which have failed abjectly.

Do the board and management need to thoroughly investigate the reasons for the decline, since the main reason needs to be discovered before the resolution can be put in place?

Maybe it's because of the negative attitude on this forum by individuals who won't give the team there full support especialy for next season.

An unconvincing arguement. Putting a viewpoint on here is entirely different to encouragement at games.

I have one of the loudest shouts of "C'MON YOU REEDDSS" at the Fleet.

Even when the chips are down I always encourage the team/players.

This is a fans forum, where discussion is (mods permitting) freely allowed, andvarying points of view are given.

Would be bloody dull on here if we all thought everything was ok.
