That's absolutely typical of you, you lap-dog.

Let's have a poll. If I get the the answer that I want after 17.5 seconds, we'll stop it there and claim a full mandate. If we still haven't got the answer we want after 3 months, ignore the results.

You should not need to raise prices by 5%.

I appreciate that it costs the club money to sell stuff that is paid for by credit cards, but if the addition of these facilities proves worthwhile, and profits rise, then the extra profit made should more than cover the bank charges.

I'm sure the club-shop's profit margin is well in excess of 5%.

3%?

all they need to do is pay the paypal admin fee.

An online shop will give the oportunity for people who can't get to games to purchase replica kits etc.

easy to set up on the web but unfortunately can't take cash or cheques over t'internet

You have an interest in this then, Webbo?

If you're selling stuff over the net because it is considered that you will sell more gear this way, then my previous post is still relevant.

If, however, you're selling over the net as merely an alternative to popping into the club shop, then I suppose yes, a 3% increase in prices is reasonable.

I was joking, Webbo, before anyone else made the same comment.

I agree about the on-line and in-shop card transactions. It would be so much easier to simply hand your card over in the shop.

Perhaps the bar could have the same facility.

I'm not sure I agree with the additional overhead though. All they have to do is add a few pence or a quid to a few items and they will recover any loss.
