To leave like that he must have a club his going to,you never know maybe he already was going.i wonder if he has tapped up any of his grays players,surley he wouldnt do that would he

There were rumours going around yesteday that he's hotly tipped to replace Phil Parkinson at Colchester as he's meant to be getting the Ipswich job.

 

However, another consideration - Boylan & Stimson free agents, hooking up with Miller & Berquez at managerless Stevenage perhaps?

Personally I think Stimmo is extremely ambitious as a manager and wants to make his mark as soon as possible at the highest level.

 

TBH - he's a smart bloke. He nabbed our players when he first took over at Grays Ath. He knew he had players who would compete and keep him in his first job at the most difficult stage.

 

To be fair the rest was his own hard work but I reckon he probably wants to go out now whilst on a high with absolutley everything in his favour. There will be plenty of opportunities and ,again, I reckon he's already got something lined up.

 

If he spends another season at Grays and it all goes pear shaped in a difficult league then his credentials will take a bigger knock..... get out now and strike whilst the iron is hot!

Grays are going to have to pick their next manager very carefully, i wonder if Graig Edwards will apply <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

 

Got a feeling Micky Woodward will be looking for a high profile manager to keep the fans happy.

to be fair shame for grays but i think this will prove to be a good decision from mr stimson.

 

i cant see grays doing as well next season as they have done this season.

 

he has won back to back FA trophies, unlikely to win a third.

 

so what more has he to so? not much.

 

im sure he will be snapped up soon enough...watch this space i guess.

He even admitted at the FA Trophy Final when being interviewed that he wanted to mange a League Club. Looks like he will get his wish. As much as I hate Stimson I do admire what he has done at Grays.

 

If Jeff King had have held on maybe he would have got the Grays job.
