On Award night, Parky wouldn't commit to anything, and when I said "See you next season" as we left, he just shrugged.

It will all come down to being guaranteed a 1st team place.

From what he was saying i gather he wont be with us next year as he wants to be playing first team football, but he did say that he would wait and see what happens first. Would be a shame to lose a good young keeper like himself.

i think its about time eddie used him as our first choice keeper and bought in an understudy for him. hes been so good to us during the allaway/masters period he deserves the chance.

The problem there is trying to find a GK who wants to be understudy to a 18/19 keeper. Not likely to happen

I also think Eddie was right to leave him out when he did. After being brilliant at the back end of the season before, Parky started last year very badly and needed to be left out for his own good. I don't think anyone can argue that Clark deserved his place.

 

Parky has the potential to be brilliant but needs to show greater consistency if he wants to be considered regular first choice. Nice lad, I hope he does well whether it's for us or anyone else.

As a Parky fan, Have chatted to him a good few times at matches and due to Uni next year he will probably be quite local, would be a shame if we lost him as hes quality.

I'd love it if Parky stayed. He showed his class in getting the number one shirt off Allaway at the back end of the 04/05 season and is a really nice lad (lovely parents too!) to boot. If he's going to be local with Uni, I hope we can persuade him to hang around, but he would need to be first choice for him to do that, otherwise it doesn't make sense for him to hang around.

 

I hope he'll be back, but as I said to him at the end of season do, if he's not back with us, good luck to him wherever he ends up and I'll certainly be keeping an eye out for his progress.
