Trust Board Nominations

To the Trust Board Members

When will the forms for nominations for the trust board be sent out, seeing as the AGM is in less than 2 months.

Also when do the forms need to be returned to the board? As I was aware that the forms need to be received by the trust before the AGM.

Thanks

Emma

Something I would like raised at that meeting tonight is the state of play with Chris Evans - i.e. is he still interested in the club, has there been any further contact between him and the club/trust and will he be putting any further money towards the club next season???

Done and done.

Trust Board Nominations - Chris will be sending out the nomination forms to all members next week. Should be received by the end of the week.

Anyone wishing to stand will need to be proposed by two members. Members can nominate up to nine candidates. The completed nominations needed to be returned to Chris by the 14th June. The AGM will be on the 12th July. If necessary voting forms will be issued to be completed prior to the AGM. There is one vacant seat on the board at the moment and 3 board members are standing for re-election in accordance with our rules. Should more than 4 people be nominated there will need to be a formal vote.

Chris Evans is still in regular contact with Chris Sliski and has been receiving our results via text all season. He is very supportive of the club and there is likely to be a further meeting between the two Chris' in the future. But beyond that we don't know at this stage.

To my knowledge, this is how it works.

With 4 vacancies and at present 3 people seeking (re)election, there would need to be at least two more nominatinos for an election to take place. In that situation a ballot would happen and the people with the top 4 votes would be elected to the board. So the incumbents would have to receive less votes than new nominees to be ejected.

Like you say, theoretical question unless people want to step forward.

Of course another option may be that if there were enough nominations to trigger an election, one of the existing Trust board may decide to voluntarily stand down and allow a new person to take his place, thus ending the need for an election.
