personally up until i just read the post about maidenhead pitch being relayed i would have prefered windsor because the maidenhead pitch was awful, but maidenhead is a lot easier to get to from where i live than windsor. the facilities seem pretty similar imo.

Only real bad thing about Maidenhead is parking. The two car parks opposite the ground are normally full on a Saturday afternoon and the other car park opposite the cinema can get quite full as well.

It will also cost another £1.50 to park as well on-top of getting into the match.

I've just this minute opened the letter from Roy about Season Tickets on the Club's site, which seems to imply that we are back at Stag Meadow, but not definitely yet, contracts to sign etc.

The letter says ".........While we are still in the negotiating stages with contracts still needing to be signed, definite progress is being made. Last week Martyn completed a very important stage of his personal projects, and a conclusion to our future is well underway. Contact was made with the Windsor Chairman and the go ahead for next season is back on schedule."

The form says Stag Meadow. But whilst the letter is dated 15/05/06. everything else refers to last year. Is it a mistake or not?

hi there russ and all im understandedly unsure about were we will be. traveing may be slightly more straight forword but being on main line trains direct and free buses for those who have bus passes or those with rail passes good discounts. i feel better covering at maidenhead and for windsor we managed with fair cover but should be put both ends for this season and staff at windsor friendly and just do not know.

however what ever will be was the saying.

i would go for windsor but not much in it

take care russ and all

The muppets who run our club are not even capable about making a decsion about anything let alone which ground we will be at next season, the famous annocement next week?? how many times over the past 10 years or more have we heard that? everything as always will be left to the very last second or worse, i think a move to York Rd would be a disater and we will lose even more support then we lost by moving to Windsor. Another thing any chance of a sponsor for next season or is that another thing no one at the club is capable of doing.

Have they missed any deadline? No. Did they commit us before we knew what league we were in? No. Have they handed over far more than the market rate (a la Martyn)? No. Have they researched all available options? Yes. Have they introduced an element of competitiveness to ensure they get the best deal possible? Yes.

How should things have been done differently, Asbo? With your extensive knowledge of commercial dealings and relationships, tell us precisely the steps YOU would have taken.

Personally, the groundshare situation doesn't concern me as much as it does other people. Slough Town are shopping around, and rightly so. We've just finished a 3-year deal at Windsor, so I'm not sure why they're moaning about us possibly moving. Why enter another deal at £25k a season if we can negotiate a cheaper deal elsewhere and possibly have more left over for the playing budget? Something will be sorted. It's not as if the club aren't well aware of the deadline and aren't looking around and making decisions.

I would agree about sponsorship though - I cannot understand why we didn't get something - anything - sorted last season.
