Groundshare...

Very strange this. Would have thought that we would have been placed in the Southern if we were groundsharing with Windsor or Maidenhead (who are both in the Southern), after all that's what's happened with Wealdstone who are sharing with Northwood.

Be very interesting to see where we end up now.

I still dont understand why something cant be tied up with Beaconsfield. Its surely got to be better than ending up at York Road and it's surely a no-brainer that it would be substantially cheaper!

If the clubs senior management had got their arses into gear we would not be in this position of still not knowing where we will be next season - only had 3 years to sort it out!

This uncertanty will continue to undermine how the club is seen by outsiders - the council and voters, local papers, potential sponsors/investors.

The trust works hard to improve the clubs profile through the local elections, and then there is still the great uncertainty of where we will play - who in the right mind would even enter into any form of talks with not only a club without its own ground, let alone a club with no where to play.

Will it take the press to run another story about the ground situation to get any news from the club? - maybe I should contact the rags and give them a nudge as this is the only way you get any formal information out of the club.

Yes I know that the season has only just finished and that it is still 18 days to the windsor deadline, but how about some formal news, even if it is the briefist of comments.

Whilst there is no news from the club rumours will continue float around and end up doing damage to the clubs reputation!

On what basis do you form that opinion then, surely fans will turn up wherever Slough play if it is local and away support would never suffer from any local location? You may be right, just curious to know how you arrive at that view.

Slough have lost a lot of fans both since moving from Wexham Park to Stag Meadow and also after their first season there. Another move, to wherever, would see the loss of a few more as people have now got used to travelling to Stag Meadow. I can't imagine how may we'll lose if we agree to play at York Road.

I've already had a few people mention that they wouldn't go if we ended up at Beaconsfield. At least with Maidenhead, if we do end up there, it's right in a town centre with good public transport links whenever we play.

SR - the club, I think, have held off until the leagues were decided, so I think it's been the right decision to negociate, but not confirm anything as yet. All the talk of Maidenhead or Stag Meadow, and even some of the players appeared to think a return to Wexham Park, so there's plenty of things to sort out still I would think. They've still got over two weeks to sort it out and it is well in hand.

For GB, global warming should lead to milder but stormier winters, though if the gulf stream closes down it could be colder and drier!!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/argue.gif" alt="" />

With regard parking, I really dont think that with the size of the car park, the parking available on the almost 1 mile access road that passes the club entrance and the parking available using Hedgerley Road, that there is any less than Stag Meadow. That is without the huge amount of grass car parking in acceptable weather. Another thought I have; surely with us being in different leagues, is there not an ideal opportunity here to help each other's financial restrictions, by supplementing both squads with dual registrations of some players? Also, would we both need a reserve team, could we not share the cost of one? Only my observations but it all just strikes me as logical. Perhaps I am being too simplistic!

I think SYCOB would be a disaster in terms of attendances. I suspect that the reason nothing has been announced yet has a lot to do with the fact we were waiting to see what division we would be placed in.

Personally I think Beaconsfield would be a bad move, worse than being at Windsor. I can see us doing much better at Maidenhead as the ground is better and it's nice and easy to get to on t'train.
