Tamworth saved, Canvey withdraw

To be really pessimistic for a moment, supposing we do finish in the bottom three, you can guarantee all the clubs in the Conference will have sorted themselves out and no-one will have any problems next season... unless Forest Green finish 21st.

I think that even the most doubting of us won'td be keeping fingers crossed and hoping to avoid relegation. If 4 do go down, that might make things a bit bit tough, bearing in mind Weymouth have a seasoned manager, pots of cash, a huge potential fanbase and will have a brand new (and expensive) squad. Add to that Northwich have been scoring goals for fun (97 in the league), our old 6 pointers against Canvey have gone, will make it difficult.

It's not a case of not having faith, it's a case of being realistic. At this moment I would love us to finish in the same position next season as this but things are beginning to stack up against us. If we recieve some good news on finance and imcoming players over the next few weeks then everyone's spirits will be lifted.

Thanks guys, I'd really like to see more positive comments on here, even though it's the close season we should still be getting behind the boys. It's so depressing to come in to work in the mornings, load the forum up, and see all the negativity from our own fans.

Let's get bck to the basic facts,we are in financial trouble simply because we didn't have results or decent performances on the pitch, boring games and failure against suposedly weaker opposition,e.g Kettering town,(F.A.cup)which should have been a money spinner, and the F.A.Trophy.No wonder "supporters" stayed away in droves. So like it or not,the buck stops at the top...Liam Daish. At least with Andy Ford(with all part timers)the team inveriably gave off their best,Aston Villa,Huddersfield,Chester,Burton, and mostly played some great football. If we make quick exits from the cups,I predict L.D. will be fired by Xmas!

Aston Villa was with "Iguana" Weller in charge!
