<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cool_shades.gif" alt="" /> He is missing the point.....

.....we don't care what he thinks because we know how poor & unjustified a lot of the referees' <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif" alt="" /> decisions <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif" alt="" /> have been. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif" alt="" />

Then again, Candy Floss Island will never get to the conference to find out. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/yelrotflmao.gif" alt="" />

The serious point is that due to the bookings yesterday, we will have to go to Nuneaton with Aaron Barnett, Nick Burton and Justin Skinner, Justin's suspension is thanks to his getting himself pointlessly booked in the reserve match on Wednesday night.

Whether it's poor refereeing, dissent or whatever, we have to do something about it because w cannot afford to keep going into matches with 3/4 of the defence suspended.

Is it never your fault?

Nah it can't be- the wonderful flipping Gravesend!

Its the ref,he obviously supports your opposition.

COM ON Fleet, be realistic!

All your yellow cards and red cards can't be from poor decisions!!!

Yeah maybe some of them but you lot ain't that perfect. Football works like that.

We were top of the discipline table last season and had some harsh yellows and reds. Like Tuesday night v Orient,we had half the team booked. But when the decision is made,ITS MADE!

There's no point in blaming it on the ref.

Get a grip, your in the conference now.

Damn....the margit fan is right.

Some of the cards were undeserved but the majority weren't. We have too many on the injury list to lose players because of silly bookings.

To combine this thread with one of the others couldn't we get someone to dress up in a stupid costume and walk up and down the touchline swearing at the officials on behalf of our players/management thus providing a mascot and cutting down on the cards.

You need to learn how to spell mate. M A R G A T E.

There is no such place as Margit. (Well not as far as i know!)

Thankyou for saying i'm correct. As i am. Things will start swinging in your favour. Hopefully sooner rather than later!

How have your games been? Did you lose again Saturday?

The Blues did but it was against Yeovil so we'll let that one go!!!

Good luck for the rest of the season (Apart from Boxing day and New Years day!)

I must say now, that in the Winter Crabble seems to get extremely icey. Last New Years day i travelled all the way there to be told the game was posponed. I wasn't a happy Gr8 Gate. So i wouldn't be surprised if it was called off! And posponed for next March like what happened for Margate v D*v*r!

Barmy Blue Army--------Gr8 Gate! (Up the BlueBoys)

Oh and C'mon you Reds! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif" alt="" />

Well for once I would be forced to agree, (just a little bit) with the Margit (I think that is the way it SHOULD be spelt.) supporter.

The standard of refereeing in The Conference may or may not be up to much, but its about time we started to work out just why we are getting so many stupid bookings. Of all the yellows shown on saturday, I thought that the only unjust one was Bentleys. Ok he should have shown cards to Morcambe players as well, but thats not the point. I honestly think its something Fordy needs to concentrate on. Its not a criticism of his methods, just an observation, before anyone slags me off! We are losing far too many players to suspensions and, lets face it, we need to keep our players on the pitch not picking up wages for sitting in the stands. (Theres contraversy for you!)

However in response to the original posteron this thread. I was talking to a Morcambe official before the game and he was telling me just how glad they were that we came up and not that bunch from canvey. It seems their reputation goes before them!

It's Matt Lee who is suspended not Justin Skinner!

I think you guys got promoted just at the right time for your sake. Ok you say that the standard of refereeing is poor in the Conference. But please take a moment to think about how we less fortunate teams still in the Ryman feel!

Ok, we're Canvey and everybody hates us, but we've had some dire referees this season. Take yesterday for example, Jeff Minton gets booked for running into the penalty area and passing the ball!! Can someone tell me what's wrong with that?! We scored from the move but the referee decides that, (after Boylan's shot crosses the goal-line) he spotted an 'infringement' worthy of a yellow card!!

But if the Referees in the Conference are as bad as you are making out, then I'm glad we're not getting promoted this season!!!
