Had to laugh at your thread "kingy on way" 5 odd pages of slaggings off !! By the time i'd finished going through it, i'd forgotten it was supposed to be about your new manager <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

You could have two competitive days each season, home and away: pub games - darts, cribbage, dominoes etc; supporters match; 'university challenge'; Grande Charity Raffle; disco in the evening.

Develop and enhance relations between the two clubs, and take a few pounds over the bar.

If fraternisation needs to be achieved in slower stages, how about a sponsored walk by the away fans to the opposing ground on match days next season? Half the proceeds to an appropriate local charity, half to Supporters Club funds. A prize to be awarded to the club what raises the most? [it's only about 10 miles, isn't it?]

The possibilities are endless, Gazza.

A hardy few will be enough, Tom.

We do one of these each season, which started about 4 years ago with a walk to the [boreham]Wooood which is about 8 miles. The following year it had to change to a walk to the [North]Woood which is a b!tch of a 17 miles or so, the last 4 of which is uphill. Clearly, our walk is the kiss of death to our opponents and they were then relegated too. We've done a walk around the City boundary [10 miles] in each of the last two seasons. Around 10/12 fans raise £1,500 or so in sponsorship, half of which is given to a local Hospice.

Hendon did one to the Woood a couple of years ago when their then Manager and Chairman led 40 fans home. Well done to them. [i'll leave you to raise the idea with Jonas and your Chairman.]

Apologies, c'mon. I'v ejust realised what you were getting at mate. January 1st might not be a very good day for the Grande walke.

No woofters allowed, c'mon. Real men [and women] only. 10 miles is a walk in the park.
