Just read in tonights paper that a positive meeting was had with Jeff over the weekend and we may not now need to form a "new Ltd Company".

 

Whats that all about then, I thought that is what we elected to do?

or,is Mr King the only one who knows what will happen to Canvey?

there is more subterfuge and misdirection here than in a plot from Enders.

At the meeting, it looked as though the only way we could take ownership of the club was to start our own Ltd. However, it now looks as though an alternative agreement is about to be reached. This will not change the situation as mentioned at the meeting, but instead put us in a stronger position. But this will also make everything a LOT simpler in applying for a new league.

 

When more details become available I will let you know, but all I will say is that Jeff has certainly helped the club as he said he would (eventually)!

But the most important thing is we're moving forward rapidly. There's no point dwelling on the past now, that time has long gone.

I can't see how anyone can say Ken is wrong about that and i can't see how people still want to say 'yes' to Jeff all the time after the last month.

90% of our problems is in my opinion wrong but that`s your opinion so fair enough. My opinion is that without the King family you and i would have never have had a club to care about.

Bitch and moan as much as you want but the fact is no one else was (or is as far as i know) prepared to put money into the club to push it for promotion in the ESL let alone the Conference.

Has Jeff King/CIFC management made mistakes? of course they have. Will the new regime? of course they will.

Chalky Boy do you not trust the people who are trying to get us out of this mess with according to Glen, Jeff King`s help?

i am far from saying that the King family haven’t done alot for the football club and it is beyond a shodaow of a doubt that they are the reason we reached the level we did. but they are not the floaty little angels people seem to think they are. they didnt pump money in purely because it was good for the club they done it also because it was good for them. fair enough they have lost money the last few seasons but they have certainly gained as much from the club as they have put in before that, if not in money but then certainly in coverage for the King companies. they help Canvey go from lower leagues to help themselves and now they are doing it at Chelmsford to help themselves. and good luck to them. i just dont want someone who says they were doing it all for the club and then promptly puts us in the situation we are in to have anything more to do with it.

You are right, the King`s company name was very well promoted while CIFC rose from the depths of non-league football but i`m led to believe that for at least the last 3 seasons they were searching for another company to sponsor our shirts but couldn`t find anyone willing to match what they were paying.

I think in the long term things will sort themselves out! I am very nervous about the way things are going at the moment.

 

I do not believe we are getting sufficient information and I do not feel that we are being consulted upon adequatly by the "new regime".

 

We voted to set up a Ltd company that is what should happen! If not, it should come back to us for discussion, even if this forum has to be used for that purpose, we need to be comnsulted.

 

Having said that, we are in a position where we have to trust people who are acting on our behalf, I think the main reason they are not consulting properly is because they are not experts in this field, and they are doing their best.

 

I will continue to ask questions, but I will continue give my unreserved support to Chris and the others.

 

I hope people keep calm until we come through this, we can then make our individual decisions.

 

I believe they are doing their best with the short time they have and the pressures that are being put upon them.

 

I see them sitting between Jeff, the football authorities, the fans and a whole host of others demmanding that things go their way.

 

I have two requests.

 

1. Please keep calm and trust the people we elected to represent us.

 

2. Chris et al please make sure when information comes out through the press, it comes with as much information as you can give us.

it certainly isnt that i dont trust Chris,far from it.if anyone wants whats best for the club-he does.its just people are still hearing bits of differnet things and are worried, not just about the clubs future,but whether there will still BE a club.

i know its impossible to update us lot step by step-but please understand our concerns.

That was not misinformation that is what I read.

 

My point is people are desperate for information, any information and at this time a constant drip feeding would be better than none, I would have prefered to have read ....... we may not now need to form a "new Ltd Company" because...............".
