Saunders & McKimm

Both Jay Saunders and Steve McKimm are rumoured to have been released by Gravesend. Would be delighted to see both of them here but Saunders as priority.

The question is would they come here? Would Jay Saunders come back to Margate? Can we afford them? Would prefer to see Jy back than McKimm, Jay is a consistant scorer from midfield, & younger than McKimm.

I imagine Jay must be destined for conf or conf south club-he is too good for Ryman.

 

McKimm and Skinner-could see the Ryman league for them

If Jay was lined up to return under CK, that shows hes interested in the idea, so lets keep our fingers ccrossed.

 

He has been playing 4-4-2, he wont go F/T (reason for release). In 44 appearances hes scored 10 goals, we need him. With him & Lp if we can get him we would have a very strong midfield.

Wasnt one of CK's lined up Conference targets prepared to come here even though CK went though? That's what was said in the paper. There is a chance it is Jay I suppose. Welling will be sniffing no doubt but Jay and Proths and we would be very close to a promotion side. An awesome midfield. Brayley, Keister, Saunders, Protheroe. That in my opinion would be better than anything we had in the Conference.

Couldnt agree with you more GW. We still need a striker & goalie though. I see Zema Abbey has been released, hes ex-cambridge if I recall

Agree GW but don't forget Hasim who is quality.

 

Zema was average at FGR but would be massive in the Ryman.

Not sure he is a 'team player 'though

It would be a dream come true to see Jay back at the Gate, Mckimm would be nice as well but if there was a chance to get jay then i would break the bank and go all in for him...... but then again thats probaly why i dont run a footy club.

Other than Smithy, Jay Saunders is the only old boy from the conference side (Sam as well, but we can all dream) i would like to sign. JS always in my memory gave his all and was a winner, a trait required by our new guru.
