Smallsy, I agree that it is good to see youth getting a chance but Walcott is just too green.

SWP was better than Lennon but has so few games under his belt. Lennnon is the better choice.

I have looked over the squad again, and I do not actually think its a terrible squad...

I think Theo Walcott is a great shout. If we are not going to have Rooney, we need to do something different. Nobody is like Rooney, maybe Walcott will give us something different?! Think of the new, inexperienced players we have gone with in the past...;

Gazza - Italia 90'

Owen - World Cup 98'

Rooney - Euro 2004.

We have done well in all these tournaments, and them players have come out with the plaudits. I HOPE Walcott can do that for us...

I however am not happy that Ledley King has been bombed cause of injury. He would have been the 12th man for every game and I am choked.

The Rooney and Owen injuries must have both just been a ruse, they are both obviously fully fit... why else would an experienced, respected international manager only pick two fit strikers in his squad (one of whom hasn't been in good form and the other hasn't played competitive football for 5 months and has never played at the top level), it's all a cunning ploy... or I suppose he could just be a [****!!****]!!
