Not the best game of football i have ever seen but I wish I was still out there, what an atmosphere and you lot behind the goal were fantastic.

Congratulations to everybody at the club I must admit it brought a lump to my throat at the end.

Forest Green will always be there for me but this helped banish those memories.

Good luck next season

Fantastic day out, superb stadium (apart from the food & drink) and a great result.

 

Superb atmosphere in the clubhouse later too, it was packed when I left and people were still arriving.

The result was 'the only thing' yesterday, of course, but a great atmosphere in the ground and well done to everyone behind the goal. Quite funny when two Histon latecomers were given a warm welcome when they arrived at the wrong end just before kick-off.

 

A disappointing first-half when Histon did a good job of closing us down in the midifeld and up front. Well though Paul Hakim played, Patrick Ada more than stepped up to the plate in Ben's absense

and was my MotM. Not one hint of a mistake yesterday and masterful in the air against a couple of big guys. Lee Flynn had probably his best game for me and the other two in the back four were very tight.

 

The midfield weren't given any space to show their stuff until the last 15/20 minutes or so when perhaps we should have scored a couple more.

 

Great stuff.

 

That young Saint at half time took a pretty cool penalty, twice. One for the future, perhaps. Good to hear that Mancini was there. I saw Muddie in the stand. Martyn Harrison, Gary Calder and Garry Hill were there.

 

The end of an era. And the start of another, perhaps.
