Arsenal vs Spurs - A Story..........

I remember a long, long time ago (about 20 years I think !) when Arsenal played Scum in the semi Final of the League Cup. I was a mere teenager then and enjoying a night out at the Youth Club, listening to the game on the radio - I think the 1st Leg was 1-1 and then clive Allen goes and scores and Scum look destined to go to Wembley and the whoe youthy was full of scummy, filthy Yids giving me stick !! I left with about 10 mins to go and got home to find we had won 2-1 with Ian Allison (I think ?) scoring the winner !!

The moral of this rather boring story is that it was the first real time I hated the Scum with a burning passion and the first time in my life time that we turned them over to reach a major Final !!

Since then there have been many great memories :

Thierry running from inside his own half to score, Patrick notching at theLane to seal the title, big Tony and Bobby scoring the winners in Cup semi's etc etc

But NOTHING really compares to Scum choking like a goodun' and throwing away their one and only ever chance of Champions League football !!!!

There is a footballing GOD and us Gooners love him !!

It was a replay Hunty the first two games were 0-1 at highbury and allen scored at the lane to make it 2-0.Enter Viv Anderson and niall Quinn.Allen scores again in the replay then Rocky and Ian Allinson with two in ten minutes.It was the most frightened i had ever been at a match as my feet did not touch the ground for nearly all of the game.About 5,000 gooners too many in the park Lane end.

Question:

 

For many years Arsenal have been rightly known as those 'South London Pikeys'.Now that it is widely known that all the Arsenal team-talks,and socialising amounst the players, is conducted in French ,unless directly addressing an English member of staff(even all the African players speak French),is it time for a new nickname for the Squaters.

 

PS..I heard a rumour they were going to call their new stadium 'lunar House' in honour of their south London roots,and the amount of immigrants they accomadate in the team.Sadly they chose to grab the money and sell their soul to the Arabs.Consigning their ground to be know as 'Dubaibury' for ever more.

 

I wish them well having to play home games on a standard sized pitch next season,and having to do that without their one decent player.Spurs are on the march.Young English players at the heart of the team.We thought we could leapfrog Arsenal this season.Maybe we were being greedy and wanting too much too soon.We'll be patient and wait till next season.

Lovely Stuff, how about 'Champions league contenders' as that seems forever more as well?

 

You really do manage to show your true ignorance on a regular basis though and aren't we meant to be kicking racism out of football?

Exactly.What DOES Wenger have against white English players. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shrug.gif" alt="" />

He hasn't signed a single one since he arrrived at the club all those years ago,and seemed to have spent most of the rest of his career filtering out of the side,all those that he inherited,or those in the youth and reserve teams.
