Belated Thankyou's......

To everyone at AFC Hornchurch for the event on Saturday. What a day! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it, starting from the build up banter on the forum, (hi voicefromtheclouds aka big mick <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />), right up until us Burnham boys had to leave for out trophy night... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

 

As you have all guessed, our trophy night did not last long, as you meany Urchins kinda did a clean sweep on that account <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bawling.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bawling.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bawling.gif" alt="" />

 

Thinking about it this morning, I dont think I would have done anything to change what happened (apart from maybe Smallsy shanking the penalty or summat <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue2.gif" alt="" />). So below are my special thankyou's... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

 

*Alan Penfold - did a great job with the ESL players. I can imagine its not as easy as it would may seem, as there were 18/20 players there who all wanted to play as long as possible. Well done mate <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

 

*AFC Hornchurch players - very worthy opposition indeed, and it was a very tight game with very little niggly instances. Billy Drake however seems to have inscribed a nice bruise on my ankle, so thanks for that!!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/top.gif" alt="" />

 

*The ESL XI Players - great team spirit, no clicks between us, and some fantastic banter, (im not sure if he will read this, but younger Penfold... when he hit the bar in front of him trying to throw the ball back in... was [****!!****] hilarious!!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laughuncontrollable.gif" alt="" />) Great work-rate throughout lads, and we got the result... LARVE IT, LARVE IT, LARVE IT LARVE IT LARVE IT <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/excited.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

 

*The Eastside - I was expecting worse banter than what I got... I feel I got off lightly!!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue2.gif" alt="" /> HELLO SAILOR <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />

Great shouts, songs and screams all day, I wont pick out names, but you're all good people, and the ESL will definitely miss you all... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

All the supporters that came to watch the game, in the miserable rain, thankyou very much <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> It was a great spectacle (at times - im not talking about my hair either <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />)...

 

*** Special, special, SPECIAL thanks to Nette and Unc and everyone behind the scenes at AFC Hornchurch for sorting this fandango out. Unc it was great meeting you finally, and having our long awaited chat. I will buy you a drink next time! (I did offer <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />.

I remember seeing Nette buzzing all over the ground before, during and after the game, so I really do hope you did get a chance to sit down and enjoy a good glass of wine, or bottles of vino <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

 

I was very disappointed we had to leave early to go to our "dull" presentation night, as I was enjoying the songs about myself... (thanks gooner!)

I will come share a beer with you all very soon, and im sure I will be introduced to someone new that "wants to meet me", or some fresh banter that doesn't always evolve around my hair or me being gay! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

 

I think this is enough said. I could have just said thankyou to everyone involved, but that's not me.
