The Northern League will know by May 11th if they can expand to two leagues which, if granted could see several teams geographically chopped and changed.

 

In any case, Canvey will take the place of Hendon in Step 4 so I presume if we went into a League that didn't replace Hendon directly, someone has to switch over. But like I said it's all guesses on another's part, but it'll be nice to see how right he is, (no trips to the Isle of Wight though!)

Who are the IoW teams?

 

I really don't fancy trips to Didcot or Taunton, as nice a places as they may well be.

Newport IoW could end up playing in Isthmian South or Southern League West.

 

Beaconsfield SYCOB is one train stop away from here, so that would be a good one for me. Plus Marlow, Chesham and Aylesbury are just bus rides away.

Just a thought, but with the uncertainty what division we will be placed in next season, there’s a part of me that wonders if we should drop down so we qualify for the Vase. You have to be some team to win it, but that’s where it all started 14 years ago and wouldn’t be ironic if we got to the final and actually played at Wembley, if it’s still to be played there in future, as that was the first aim all those years ago. Perhaps another opportunity to achieve this if the club can keep going.

It'll be quite good to compete in the FA Vase as well as the FA Cup. I see Nantwich Town beat Hillingdon Borough yesterday at St. Andrews.

We could well be playing Hillingdon next season.
