RSS cleared up

RSS will not replace the news on the website. News will be added to the website as normal and basically the RSS just looks up the news section of the website and provides it to you for reading in a programme.

 

If you click the link it will open in a web page and be a load of mess really. The link is only needed to put into the programme that reads the feeds.

 

The benefit od RSS is basically that you can read news from Margate Football Club, the BBC, Sky, the Times etc all in one place and with one click rather than going to all of the separate sites.

 

If you do not use RSS at the moment then there is no need to go over to it. Just if you do, then you can get mfc via RSS now.

 

If you were interested in using RSS for ease of reading news then I have found Awasu to be easy to use. It also presents the news nicely.

 

Basically from the RSS programme it displays the headline and a short story. You then click on the headline and it takes you to the news story on www.margate-fc.com.

Simply means you'll be able to recieve the emails in a programme like Outlook Express. Does this mean the club are offering @margate-fc.com email addresses?
