Slough Town Results

Recommended Posts

For those of you who were not aware, Some of the Slough Town supporters stood in the local elections yesterday and the results were as follows.

A fantastic performance by the Slough Town candidates tonight. Have just got back from the count and the important results are as follows:

Britwell - Chris Sliski 33 votes (5th place)

Cippenham Green - Dom Ashford 122 votes (4th place out of 5)

Haymill - Marcus Kirby 99 votes (4th)

Wexham Lea - Martin Blake 354 votes (pushed the Conservatives into last place beating them by almost 100 votes!!)

I couldn;t stay for the Langley St Mary's vote but even without it that's 608 votes overall with little effort in canvassing. There were about ten of us in Rebels shirts there tonight and we were very visible and prompting a lot of discussions.

What a great idea for for raising the profile of your local football club. I guess Slough council know who their local team is now , eh

was a spiffy result all round, gathering some 750 votes off the basis of a leaflet drop in the five wards we were standing in. On the plus side, it has got a lot of councillors and residents talking about us after we have had our name dragged through the mud - some claims including asking for £20million for a new stadium - so it's all good. Next year we'll be planning to stand in all available wards with our own party just to ram the point home

Cheers guys. When your local authority will not meet you half way sometime you have to meet them on their ground. There were certainly some surprised faces that we picked up the votes that we did and we made sure to tell them that we'll stand in every ward next year if no progress is made.

Good luck in Ricay South, Gazza!
