All I can really say is well done for speaking your mind, even if you thought the letter wasnt going to be printed - it shows how angry people are are with the Express and maybe they will take note.

 

Could this be the start of a 1 man war against the Express?

Well done BFR. When you outlined it to me I thought there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell of it being printed.

He will be further peeved when I write a reply to his response detailing exactly when his publication has printed similar accusations in the past. I think the poor chap may have opened up a can of worms he didn't want to be going near.

I reckon you will always get a letter printed when you tell a paper that there's no way they will print it.

Mind you we did that once with our fanzine, and got it banned from the ground!

Having only just had a chance to read the Express - great stuff BFR. Wouldn't have expected a lot of it to be published, but great stuff nonetheless! Gets right to the point. The simple fact is that Richard Stokes should go straight to the police if he's being threatened, and the Express should have known better than to re-print an old story. Good letter from John Tebbit again too. Hopefully letters like this can change people's minds after some of the crap we've seen published recently.
