Guest
There was a lot said tonight that people missed, I think if people had actually heard all that was said there would have been an even livelier meeting! I will talk soon to Kevin Rye I think we did not show him the respect he deserved, we brought him along and did not let him speak, I believe he had an alternative view. Ha, ha - big and tough are you Paula? Big talk and no action I am sure. Like I said the other day, never heard a woman talk football and been able to keep a straight face. Women and football are like oil and water - they just do not mix. Get a hobby you can enjoy and understand, like knitting and watching soaps - better for you in the long run and far more rewarding I think you will find than getting out of your depth trying to involve yourself in the man's world of football.
Sharming Paula
My last words on the subject. Your a [****!!****] prick. You'll have to meet up with me to find out what action I could take. End of conversation (well with you anyway) Nite Nite.
Leo
Good nite to you too Paula and don't forget to take my advice now. Good girl, you know your Uncle Leo is talking sense. Just don't want to see you make yourself look silly now, hope you understand? Oh dear, see that grammar is not your strong point either is it? I think your message to me should read "You're a [****!!****] prick" but that is not very nice is it? Obviously the Swiss Finishing School failed to do it's job in your case eh? Guest
Nah! Word association? I post a word you have 30 seconds to reply you can only use one word it must relate to mine and must be an insult! First one to spell a word wrong or not respond witin 30 seconds loses.

South Mouth
Superb MOB. Leo. I'll tell you as well coz at least now it is warranted. Grow up mate. You could have just left it ages ago or agreed to disagree. How do you know whether she was just saying grow up as an expression and not an insult? Just leave it coz you sound stupid trying to get back at her. I dont mean you harm man, but just leave it.
Hendonboy
Quote: Yellow Bungle said: Limited company being set up to run for us, with Glenn etc as directors. On of the directors will hold the share. Personally, I think we should set up a trust behind the Ltd and if Jeff don't like it he can find another tennant. Obviously, not seeing much about this other than this thread, I'd suggest this path is explored quickly to see if it could be possible, and possibly campaigning towards whoever owns the freehold unless it's really going to cause massive problems in the short term. Whatever the end situation for 2006/7, don't[/t] ignore the potential to use the situation to set up a trust in case the absolute worst should happen (it's why ours was really set up) and for God's sake, keep the faith! Fingers crossed we don't stay up because of your problems. (Even without a ground, I can't see why you wouldn't be able to run a RPL side in the mid term. The deadlines might be a bit tight though.) All the best.
Hendonboy
Opps. Slight mistake with the tags there. Meaning still stands though. Also worth pointing out something obvious from having looked at the second half of this thread right now, mainly from experience... MOB/Paula and Leo all appear to want the same thing from where I'm standing (sitting) right now - Canvey Island FC at the highest possible level. That's not gonna be achieved by bickering amongst yourselves! Find the common ground between as many fans as possible ASAP and work on it! Nothing comes before getting your club playing at the level that have been achieved on the pitch (if at all possible) and keeping the club alive, in particular argument's about JK's intentions until he makes them clear. South Mouth
Could Kevin Rye please leave a message on here and explain to us what is going on. Especially to people like me who care about the club but could not make it to the meeting.
eggy
if Jeff loves the club so much why could he not allow us to play rent free at the ground until we are settled.. Im sure the King Family could help the club out by waving the £800 a week rent, its small change to them..

Im sure the King Family could help the club out by waving the £800 a week rent, its small change to them.. Being cynical - Jeff is a business man. Why would he want to give us anything more for nothing or wipe any debts? He has invested a lot of time and money and now wants to claw some back. I wonder what the true rent for the ground is? Some how I am not suprised about him trying to obtain the rent money - I'm no expert but I wouldn't be suprised if he continues to try and get something out of supplying and selling beer to the club as he probably holds the licences. Right, here's an out of the box thought. I don't think Jeff is putting money into Chelmsford when he finally [****!!****] off. But do you think us paying excess rent will give him money to spend at Chelmsford to pay for his new toy?
eggy
Maybe Jeff is keeping connections with the club i.e. being our landlord so that if things go tits up at Chelmsford he has a possible avenue back in to Canvey???!
