Well the walk has been done and contrary to the belief of some i'm still alive. Sorry to disappoint ya all. The reddened face would have appeared after about 5 mins - I get hot, I go red end of story. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Anyway most people sponsered the dog rather than me (can't think why) and he raised £100 for the cause.

Really enjoyed it other than bloody Alsation that attacked my dog half way round!

Hope everyone else raised loads of dosh and you all enjoyed the burgers and booze afterwards.

I'm off to Rotherham shortly so all I want to say is WELL DONE TO EVERYONE THAT TOOK PART!!

Just got home myself!

 

An excellent turn out for the walk that took around an hour and 45 mins to complete.

 

The burgers, hot dogs and beer waiting at the Clubhouse were excellent and I reckon everyone really enjoyed themselves.

 

Last time I heard we were a fiver short of 500 quid, but there were still many burgers and hotdogs and beer consumed after this, not to mention all the added sponsorship money too.

 

I'm sure Glen or Chris could confirm this but it looks likely we could've raised up to a couple of thousand pounds! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

 

It was great seeing our new Manager and Directors doing the walk as well. I believe all the fans now feel comfortable when approaching them for a chat, which I haven't seen before.

A massive well done to the 50+ Supporters who took part in the 7 mile walk around the Island. The atmosphere was great, and even though the sun did beat down relentlessly, a good day was had by all.

 

Over the course of the day, I think we've raised at least £3,000, but probably a lot more!!
