Given the quotes in the Gravesend Messenger from both Liam and Roly, if there had been any doubt there certainly isn't now that:-

 

1. The player's terms will be less favourable next season than 2005-06. Jay, for example, could not be offered the same terms to turn full time as offered in 2005.

 

2. Liam has a smaller budget.

 

3. We are in talks with several remaining players, but....

 

4. Expect more players to depart.

 

The way it has been written it is almost that the club expect players to turn down new deals and leave!

 

As I said in an earlier post, it's in with the young, inexperienced and cheaper option. Perhaps we could have a competition to guess the average age of the first 11 to start the Conference season?
