Having Gooding at right back, gives me no confidence in our defence, often prone to a little wander across the back line, does'nt seem to know what the meaning keep your position stands for so many times he has been caught out of position, and plays too many diagonal balls for my liking.Definatly a weak link in the defence, at least Gleds and Proths for that matter can deliever a decent ball into the box.

But they're not coming back, so maybe we need to be seeking other full backs that are available and not looking to the past.

Maybe we should ask Chelsea if we could sign Glenn Johnson, everything is perfect, local lad not getting a game at chelsea, needs 1st team football, wow what a signing that would be as long as Chelsea pay his £60,000 a week wages. oops my daughter has just woken me up, thats me always the optomist, good dream while it lasted, at least i dream't of him in a fleet shirt. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Newman's also released Fleet pre-season trialist Gavin Heeroo, while Craig Rocastle is available for transfer at Sheffield Wednesday.

Elsewhere, one-time £20,000 Telford signing Christian Moore and ex-Daggers man Lee Matthews are set to leave Burton and Grays respectively.

Westley has released a few: Matt Hocking, Danny Williams, Laurie Stewart, Eric Obinna, Justin Gregory and Gary Schillachi, while veteran Barry Laker - a man Westley called "a real professional and a true man" - has retired.

Westley's own future still in the balance too.
